Thiebaud holds honorary doctorate degrees of fine arts from the California College of Arts and Crafts, San Francisco Art Institute and the Art Institute of Southern California. He has taught at Cornell, Yale, and Rice universities. Thiebaud's work is displayed in numerous museums.
